Plastic surgery to correct gynecomastia is technically called
reduction mammaplasty, and reduces breast size, flattening and
enhancing the chest contours.
Gynecomastia (man boobs) really should not be viewed as being
something abnormal, but rather something that is common, albeit
undesirable. The good news is that it is very treatable.
There are two methods for treating male chest enlargement:
1. Lipolaser: Liposuction is ideal for the reduction of fat, because fat is soft
and is easily removed (lipolaser) However, firm and glandular
gynecomastia tissue cannot be removed by liposuction; it needs to be
excised
2. Excision:
Excision techniques are recommended where glandular breast tissue or
excess skin must be removed to correct gynecomastia. Excision also
is necessary if the areola will be reduced, or the nipple
repositioned to a more natural male contour. Excision through an
incision around the areola would be the method for reducing his
chest.
Sometimes gynecomastia is treated with both lipolaser and excision.
The preoperative physical exam is often very helpful in revealing
what will need to be done to reduce a man’s chest so that it looks
the way that he wishes it to look. Dr. TONI NASSAR will recommend the
best choice for you.
The gynecomastia is done under sedation or general anesthesia .The
duration of hospitalization: an output is provided on the same day
in most cases because it is an outpatient procedure.
Also breast enhancement: for men who do not have time for regular
gym work outs or who have reduced chest muscles and want to achieve
a masculine look.
